Civil Waste water plants: Percolating filter
Manufactured in Italy, in line with the highest manufacturing standards, percolating filter systems from ISEA are highly efficient, require no electricity and provide high customization possibilities. The percolating filter systems are suitable for treating domestic and commercial wastewater.
Therefore, the percolating filter comes in both anaerobic and aerobic variants. It is filled with polypropylene media featuring a high-specific surface area to encourage the growth of the bacterial population responsible for purifying the wastewater to be discharged to a suitable location.
Located upstream of the percolator filter is the organic Imhoff, which first carries out a pre-treatment of black waste by removing BOD and suspended solids. This lightens the organic load entering the percolator filter and results in the prevention of clogging.
Following this, the percolator filled with polypropylene elements mineralizes through a biological process, causing the elimination of biomass and organic pollutants. The sizing of the percolator filters is done on mass balance.
Secondary-level treatment is done to obtain the final remains of effluent. The biological process is based on using bacterial flora, which develops in filling bodies with a high specific surface with which the products are filled.
The percolating filters are appropriately filled with polypropylene featuring a high specific surface area to encourage the growth of the bacterial flora population used for purifying the wastewater.
